Craig
Group Wins 4 of 4
The Craig Group, Inc., Management
Company of the OLBA, won all four of its local-option issues on the
ballot in the March 7, 2000 Primary Election. As was the case in last
year’s general election, Phil Craig attributes much of the success to
the reconstruction of the site-specific question which became available
to prospective permit holders in March of 2000.
"Voters have a predisposition
toward the status quo," noted Bob Young, who manages The Craig
Group’s local option campaigns. "The particular-location
(site-specific) questions allow voters to approve liquor sales at
neighboring businesses without having any affect on the wet/dry status
of the rest of the community. It provides the best-case scenario to both
voters and would-be permit holders."
